The Christian Rehabilitation Charity Foundation of Uganda (CRCFOU) is a non-profit charitable nongovernmental organization (NGO) registered nationally with the national NGO forum and in the Lira district of Uganda.

The Christian Rehabilitation Charity Foundation of Uganda (CRCFOU) was founded by Betty O’Dero, who hails from Akura parish in Aloi sub-county, Uganda. She now resides in the United States. She conceived the idea of assisting the disadvantaged and vulnerable in the war ravaged areas of Northern Uganda with her colleagues in the U.S. and the UK. Betty is a graduate from Bryn Mawr, College, Graduate School of Social Work and Research.

CRCFOU objectives
• Provide health care services
• Provide psychosocial services
• Assist in the resettlement and rehabilitation of returning refugees at their original homes
• Initiate income-generating activities for women, youths, the elderly, the disadvantaged
• Sponsor children in primary and secondary schools
• Liase with government, other NGOs and donors to implement resettlement programs and other objectives in our program.

Accomplishments
• Sponsored over 160 children in primary and secondary schools.
• Undertaken the construction of a 16 bed clinic at Aloi corner.

Future Plans for Expansion
• Building more health centres in places like Otuke, Apala, etc., so long as the environment is conducive. Consultancy services will be strengthened and expanded.
• After her recent visit to Uganda, major activities of the CRCFOU were undertaken by Betty O’Dero before she returned to the U.S.
• With support, encouragement, unity, hard work and honesty, we shall expand our operations to other areas.

CRCFOU is an on-the-ground, hands-on project enabling local people to lift themselves up and build a better community.
